Irum Zahra's Psychaotic: Seeing the world in black and red, Book Review "20 out of 20 Stars!"

Irum Zahra's Psychaotic: See the world in red and black, Book Review "20 out of 20 Stars"

By Author Holly Newhouse for Eternal Book Reviews

Just as devotees of certain television shows wish for longer seasons and more episodes, readers of poetry long to have poems that touch their hearts and souls. In this regard, Irum Zahra has been more than accomodating. In her debut book of poetry "Psychaotic: See the world in black and red," Irum Zahra writes in such a way that readers can feel as if they are looking right into her very soul. this is a trait she shares in common with some of history's greatest poets.

As I read the well written and descriptive prose contained within this amazing book, I was struck by the variety of emotions this fantastic poet was able to evoke within myself. As someone who only reads poetry by poets of the Renaissance era and earlier, I was extremely fascinated by the depth of the poetry contained within the lines of this book for which the author has insightfully named. The poetry she writes, contains themes  of darkness, pain, despair, abuse, chaos, misery and disorder that occurred at times in her life when the poems were written and yet, they also contain themes of happiness, love, wonder, perception, and the transformation and change that can occur within a person. All of these these resonated with this reviewer and will resonate with readers worldwide as everyone in life at one time or another has experienced or felt these emotions and themes in their lives as all of these themes make up the human psyche and the human experience. They will resonate more so with those that are misunderstood and suffer or have suffered with mental illness and who wear a mask in public for fear of ridicule or being stereotyped, a very complex issue in the world today and one I deal with on a daily basis as a victim traumatologist. It is an issue that is the dark times within oneself that is rarely shown and suffered with, alone.

"Like a horror story being told, I felt the winds change their course...." is an example of this poet's unique ability in realistic and raw description that hits and resonates with this reviewers very soul.

The poem that affected me the most was called "Musings Underwater." This particular poem speaks about a girl who is empty, cold and alone in a broken home, who questions herself and who she has become, and her current existence. She is a soul, lost, in the reality of her world and present circumstances at the time the poem was written.

This exceptional book of poetry, while deep and dark in some of its themes, is perceived by this reviewer as being therapeutic for the author. This book and her poems are perhaps a way for the author to let go of a painful at times, past and at the same time, it helps the reader to understand complex issues as the poet bares her soul to the world, just as so many amazing poets before her, have done.

It is often said that a truly amazing poet always gives a part of him or herself in the writing of their poetry and it is very clear to this reviewer that Irum Zahra has clearly accomplished just that. The reader does not merely read words on a page with this book, but gets an in depth look into Zahra's soul at the time the poem was written.

I highly recommend this book to lovers of poetry who seek out beloved poets that can deeply move them. Although, if you're not a fan of poetry and it's unique prose then this book is probably not for you.

I definitely give this book 20 stars which is my highest praise for any book because it is just that good!

The Sham by Ellen Allen " 20 out of 20 Stars" Magnificent!

The Sham by Ellen Allen Book Review....20 out of 20 stars!

*****Reviewed for Eternal Book Reviews and Inkspand*****

I loved this book, it kept me on the edge of my seat! I had a roller coaster of emotions while reading through this book in one sitting! The character development is exceptional and realistic, the setting of the scenes had just enough description to capture the readers attention but not overdo it and the same for the dialogue and character descriptions as well. I could really see everything while reading the book and that is a big plus with me, especially when the author gives just enough to spark the reader's imagination but not too much as to over-inform. The scenes lead logically in to the following one and the story line flowed very nicely while the plot was fantastic and well developed. this book was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants a terrific read!!! I personally give it 20 stars not  just 5 stars!

Gypsy Hunted by Andrea Drew Book Review "20 out of 20 Stars!"

Gypsy Hunted Book Review....20 out of 20 Stars! Exceptional Read!

Reluctant psychic Gypsy Shields (she prefers the term "intuition consultant") finds herself in trouble when, on her way home from a blind date, she interrupts a kidnapping in progress. Her heroic attempt to intervene is repaid with a collision between the attacker's van and a brick wall. She awakens in hospital, paralyzed on her left side and unable to speak. Unable to share vital information about the crime she witnessed. Fortunately, her telepathic connection with her niece helps her throw a line out, attracting the attention of a police detective: Connor Reardon, Gypsy's date the night of the attack.

Stepping in to protect Gypsy, Connor even listens to her claims of psychic power. She soon senses he's concealing certain powers of his own. Nor are they all he's concealing. A part of Gypsy's new ally's mind is closed to her”"what she cannot know is that Connor suspects the kidnapper is someone close to him, and the victim holds secrets that will tear through Connor's department, putting careers and lives at risk. Including Gypsy's, as she is left recovering in hospital and vulnerable as the attacker turns his sights on her once again. Can she use her powers to track down the perpetrator in time to prevent her own murder?

What a magnificent suspense! This author is a true master of story telling! I read this book all the way through in one sitting, it was just that good! I really had a hard time putting it down! Gypsy Shields  and Connor are fantastic characters and are both extremely believable and realistic as is the story and plot. The back story and character development of each of the main characters in the book is extremely well done. The book flows at a nice, consistent pace and it didn't drag at all at any time in the story and I did not need to go back and re-read anything to understand it. The scene settings, descriptions of the characters themselves, action scenes, and dialogue was written so brilliantly that this reader had absolutely no trouble with "seeing" everything, that is just how good this author is with description and scene setting. The amount of conflict was perfect and there was sufficient time in between each climax in the book. The relationship between Gypsy and Connor moved at a realistic and believable pace. Overall, I highly recommend this book, it was absolutely amazing!

Wings of Vengeance by Kylie Price Book Review "20 out of 20 Stars!"

Wings of Vengeance by Kylie Price ( 20/20 Stars....A Must Read!)

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! I fell in love with Lara, Rollan, and all of the death stalkers! They sounds so incredibly amazing! Where can I find one?! LOL! Now, we meet Mathias, the leader and first of the death stalkers who is able to go into the mist where souls that can't move on wander aimlessly. He has the ability to bring the soul back to life in a new shell, an immortal shell. He is the one who brought his best friend Rollan back who is 1900 years old and more recently, Lara. Lara and Rollan are deeply attracted to each other, but each is afraid to make the first move. While they figure out each other, the author takes us into her world of immortal death stalkers and spawns (called vampires by the humans). This awesome author takes the reader on one heck of a journey following rollan and lara as well as enjoying the antics of the other male and female death stalkers who hunt the spawn. The story has so many twists and turns and many you don't even see coming that will have the reader experiencing a myriad of emotions along with the characters feeling as if he or she is right there in the story with the characters themselves. Now, as for the technical stuff, I really have no complaints. the book flows at a nice pace throughout and it doesn't drag anywhere in the storyline. The language and some of the terms are in Australian English yet they are quite easy to understand in the context of the story. The character development and back stories are perfectly created and developed. This reviewer could really "see" all of the scenes, characters, dialogue, and action scenes very clearly in her mind. Furthermore, for characters who are mythical in nature, they were very realistic as was their dialogue. This reviewer could feel a range of emotions evoked by the storyline and characters. Overall, a must read to a great new series! i cannot wait to read book two! I highly recommend this book to those who love vampire stories with a bit of a twist. This book is in a class of it's own!
