Book Description:

What would you do when faced with an impossible truth? Written with heart and passion, Downcast by Cait Reynolds is ripe with twists you never saw coming and love that defies the odds in this intense new Paranormal Romance retelling one of mythology’s greatest love stories.

It’s the start of Stephanie Starr’s senior year of high school, but sadly, this is no life of the prom queen. Stuck at the bottom of the high school social totem pole, Stephanie is forced by her domineering mother to wear lumpy linen dresses and eat organic tofu for lunch in a world of mini-skirts and pizza.

What Stephanie doesn’t anticipate is gorgeous and cocky Haley Smith who breaks social convention and pursues her with a determination that is both terrifying and flattering. Afraid that Haley is simply trying to set her up for massive humiliation, Stephanie does her best to push him away. But the more attention he pays to her, the more she runs, and the more everyone else begins to notice.

Instead of a loving family to support her as the mean girls make their play, Stephanie’s mother begins to unravel mentally, her possessiveness of Stephanie spiraling to new and frightening extremes. Stephanie is forced to grow up, find herself, and learn the truth about her past in order to save her mother, her friends, and her town. When the truth is revealed, nothing can prepare her for the outrageous reality of her existence…and nothing can save her from her fate.
Except Haley.

Book Review:

This book had me completely hooked from page one! It took me on a suspenseful, emotional, on the edge of my seat, roller coaster ride until the very end and still left me wanting more, more, more! I am praying and hoping there will be a book two coming out! I am going to be ever so patiently biting my nails as I wait until this absolutely amazing and brilliant author writes more books for me to read with my beloved characters: Stephanie, Haley, Zack, Helen and Morris. I want to visit Darbyfield High School just to see these amazing and complex characters in action! I may be a middle-aged woman, but I am in love with Haley and the others and never guessed there was more than met the eye until the very end.

Author Cait Reynolds is one of my new favorite authors! She has a gift for writing that is out of this world! The storyline is complex and engaging. The plot is well developed, only giving this reviewer just enough details to make me wonder, become frustrated with the wanting to know more and finally, determined to read a bit more, and more, and more. Then, when I think I have it all figured out, I find out I really don't! The many twists and turns I never saw coming and kept me with my hands gripping the edge of my seat and constantly guessing.

It is easy for this reviewer to tell that Author Cait Reynolds put a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication into the creation and crafting of this truly majestic story! The character development, for example, proceeds at just the right pace. The scenes and settings are given the perfect amount of description and still highly engage the reader's imagination and at the same time, is not too much as to be telling instead of showing. Author Cait Reynolds manages this fine line for authors flawlessly and I highly commend her for it. the dialogue is refreshing, engaging, and very realistic. This author also brilliantly writes the story in the first person point of view which is a true accomplishment as not many can write this way and have it turn out as wonderful as Author Reynolds has.

Overall, Author Reynolds has created a suspenseful, suck-you-right-in and hold-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of story that every reader delights in that is as profound as it is entertaining. Once you begin reading, be prepared for this story to haunt your waking thoughts as well as your nightly dreams as it calls you right back to it until you have read it in it's entirely. I can speak from experience as I thought I could get away with reading a few chapters a night and cherish such a great story. I was wrong and ended up only getting to the middle before I had to finish reading the second half straight through, unable to put it down for a second!

This is a truly magnificent blend of realism, paranormal, mythology, romance and laughter-provoking. Author Cait Reynolds, I applaud your amazing writing ability! You are a true master at weaving a breathtaking story. If I had to have one downside or complaint, it is that this book has not been made into a fantastic movie yet! Thank you deeply to this author for her truly beautiful abilities that she has shared with the world! This book deserves a rating of twenty plus stars, not a mere five!

Book Description:

A PLACE TO DIE is the story of Sam Gholson when he discovers what it means to be haunted by a killer who has taken the life of his only brother. The labyrinthine trail will lead him through the hills of Kentucky in 1938 as he takes on the role of amateur investigator. The story envelopes all that is rare about the region and its peopletradition, loyalty and kindness as well as clannishness. Yet it stands alone in two important ways. First, it shows an underlying passion and support between two brothers, and it reveals a rare but dignified portrait of a sixteen-year-old boy struggling with the reality that his own life is in danger.
Even more importantly, however, A PLACE TO DIE describes the heart-wrenching effects of a boy alone, as he deals with moonshiners, bootleggers and a Machiavellian sheriff, and has only his vigilance, courage, and knowledge of the hills to depend on as he runs for his lifefrom the law with a warrant for his arrest and from a killer who is closing in on him.

Book Review:

Oh where to start? This book had me hooked from the first paragraph. This was a fantastic book! I can't give it enough praise and am absolutely in love with Author Rusty Savage's amazing ability as a writer and in how he has written a realistic storyline full of twists and turns you won't see coming. He gives the reader just enough to hook the imagination and not too much as to be wordy or that will turn the reader off. The well developed and complex storyline has a nice steady pace which is refreshing and yet leaves the reader wanting more.

The storyline is well thought out and brilliantly executed as well as being highly engaging. The plot, characters, scenes, settings, and dialogue were wonderful in their creation and complexity. A tremendous amount of hard work, heart and soul went into Author Savage's amazing creation in A Place to Die.

The character development was complex and realistic and yet left just enough to the readers imagination with the descriptions allowing the reader to really visualize what he or she is reading in a way that makes a profound impact upon them. The story line and magnificent and unpredictable plot had this reviewer on the edge of her seat while she went on an emotional roller coaster ride along with the characters.

If you have not read this book, make sure you read it today. I promise you it will be one of the best reads of your year or even your lifetime! I highly recommend this book to all readers who enjoy a fascinating storyline and well developed plot with many twists and turns!

Book Description:

Eleven months after saving herself from an obsessed killer, Gypsy Shields is enjoying her normal life again—or what passes for normal for a psychic. Abruptly, her new found peace is disturbed by a strange vision. An eerie little girl named Isabella appears before a rocking cradle with disturbing news. Connor, Gypsy’s boyfriend, is a Sentinel meant to protect her and other psychics. But can he protect his own niece when she’s put in danger by someone she trusts?

Connor’s family has too many painful secrets, and Gypsy’s already meddled with them too much. Now they won’t heed her warnings. Trying to rescue them regardless will strain Gypsy’s relationship with every one of them—including Connor himself. Even if, with Isabella’s help, she can save an innocent woman’s life, she may lose the love of her own.

Note: This book can be read as either a standalone story, or ideally as book 2 in the Gypsy Series. Connor and Gypsy finally get it on romantically and of course Gypsy drops the f bomb every now and then, because that's how she rolls...

Book Review:
Oh where to start? This book had me hooked from the first paragraph just as Gypsy Hunted did. This was a fantastic book! I can't give it enough praise and am absolutely in love with Author Andrea Drew's amazing ability as a writer and in how she crafts her stories, giving you just a bit of information and clues at a time to keep you wanting to read more and then at the end yelling into space that you weren't finished with the story yet, that you want more, so much more from this magnificent storyteller!! I had to force myself to read this book in sections or else I would have been up all day and night reading it in one setting, already knowing what to expect from Author Drew from her first book Gypsy Hunted which was also exquisitely done. But, this book would not let me rest in peace at night! Nope, it's amazing and very realistic and complex characters haunted my dreams even as the book called me back to its pages for ever more of the story. Needless to say, after one night of haunted dreams, I had to heed its mesmerizing call and read the rest of it in one sitting!
The storyline is well thought out and brilliantly executed as well as being fast paced and highly engaging. The plot, characters, scenes, settings, and dialogue were majestic in their creation and complexity. The way clues are given slowly throughout the storyline and the complexity of everything just amazes me at how Author Andrea Drew was able to keep everything straight in her head while completing the hard work of an author which is not as easy as some think it is. A tremendous amount of work, heart and soul went into another fantastic creation of Drew's books.

The character development as I said was complex and realistic and yet left just enough to the readers imagination with their descriptions allowing the reader to really visualize what he or she is reading in a way that makes a profound impact upon them. This is going to be another best seller for sure! I would absolutely love to see Gypsy Hunted and Gypsy Cradle both made into movies as they would be the best I have ever seen and believe me, I have already seen the movies playing out in my mind as I read both books.

Author Andrea Drew has a tremendous gift when it comes to writing realistic and majestic stories that are not only full of suspense, intrigue, mystery and thrill the senses but take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride that leaves them gripping the edge of their seat and wanting so very much more at the same time.

If you have not read this book, make sure you read it today. I promise you it will be one of the best reads of your year or even your lifetime!

I highly recommend this book to all readers, not to just those in the thriller/mystery/suspense genres.

This book is everything the author, Dutch Jones, promised it would be. It is emotional, provocative and entertaining, not to mention a breath of fresh air! It isn't always easy for an author to keep and hold this reviewer within the pages of their book from beginning to end and keep me wanting so much more, but this author has done just that. It began with the simple but engaging cover design that intrigued me right from the moment I saw it, enough to decide to read the book without reading the description first. I read the description after I finished the book to be more objective.

The story line has a smooth and even flow even as it speeds up and slows down in certain areas which only enhances it and its readability. It was brilliantly done and not easy for an author to accomplish. The plot was extremely well thought out and executed in such as way as to be intensely engaging. The character development for both the protagonist and antagonist was magnificent giving just enough information to use the imagination and not so much as to be wordy or detract from a great story line. Author Dutch Jones writes the characters, scenes, settings and the dialogue to be realistic and yet the reader finds himself or herself stop feeling like they are reading a book and instead are watching a beloved movie in their mind.

Author Dutch Jones is a magnificent storyteller within the genre of contemporary romance. I would say his wonderful gift of writing is on par with authors such as Nora Roberts, Nicholas Sparks, and even Danielle Steele. This author can give no higher compliment than that.

After reading the book, I reviewed the author's description of the book and not only found it to be informative but engaging as well as perfectly written and I would not change a thing. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers, not to just those in the contemporary romance genre.
